Hello! I'm Natasha!
Using found paper layered with color and pattern, I share the visual stories of the places and creatures that most people take for granted.
I celebrate Nature's unsung heroes—the small, overlooked wonders, as well as a few of the more familiar names. Through every brushstroke and piece of painted paper, I strive to illuminate the beauty hidden in plain sight, hoping to spark connection. For it’s through connection that we begin to care—and through care, we begin to take care of what matters, our precious planet.
My mission, which I choose to accept, is to celebrate the beauty I see and share it with you through my art.
However, I did not always accept my mission.
As a child, I explored my passions through books and art. But in college, I chose stability over passion, with no mentors to guide my artistic dreams.
I worked various jobs, often secretarial, while pursuing creative projects on the side. In 1997, a henna kit reignited my passion for art, and by 2011, I was happily immersed in mixed media and collage while working full-time.
After my father's passing, I discovered beautiful paintings he'd never shared. This deeply sad realization reinforced the pursuit of my deepest dreams. I quit the day job, and became a full-time artist.
Beauty has the power to shift our focus from internal chaos to the joy that connects all living things.
