Where noticing becomes art—and walls come alive with color, texture, and rhythm

ART THAT LIVES WITH YOU

What begins as fragments—maps, music, memory—becomes a living story of place, energy, and connection.

With every piece you bring home, you’re not just decorating—you’re inviting in beauty, meaning, and a story that will continue to unfold over time.

Every piece begins with a moment—

 often small, often fleeting.

If you’re a collector, you understand how those moments linger: the pause of a bird at a flower, the shimmer of water, the hush of early morning.

My process begins there, in noticing—then building each piece from layered papers, maps, and fragments that carry a sense of place.

Living with this work becomes more than simply seeing—it becomes a daily reminder of the quiet beauty that surrounds us

Natasha Monahan Papousek

Natasha is a mixed-media collage artist who transforms painted paper, maps, and everyday ephemera into richly layered works that celebrate the beauty of the natural world. Each piece goes beyond surface and material—it is an exploration of place, memory, and connection, inviting the viewer to notice the extraordinary woven into the everyday.

"For me, creating is about translating connection into form—layering painted paper, maps, and fragments of everyday life until they begin to breathe. Through color, texture, and rhythm, I give voice to the beauty we often overlook."

Every collection begins with observation, reflection, and a deep appreciation for the beauty found in everyday life. Inspired by the landscapes and wildlife of Southern California, I transform painted paper, maps, and found materials into layered collages that tell stories of place, connection, and wonder. My work is held in private collections and enjoyed by collectors who value art that invites them to slow down and truly see.

"If you’re anything like me, art isn’t just something you see—it’s something you feel, again and again."

Birds of a Feather

“Every bird, every tree, every flower reminds me what a blessing and privilege it is just to be alive.” — Marty Rubin

Inspired by the birds that share our skies and neighborhoods, these layered works transform fleeting encounters into lasting stories of color, rhythm, and life.Inspired by the birds that share our skies and neighborhoods, these layered works transform fleeting encounters into lasting stories of color, rhythm, and life.

Small Wonders

This isn’t just about art—it’s about noticing the small things that make life possible.
The bees, the butterflies, the quiet work happening all around us.

Where the light lingers

Your space deserves this kind of quiet.

There is a kind of silence you only find in nature. Open space. Soft light. Time stretching just a little wider.
